ART HAPPENS AT BASECAMP!

Basecamp Studio & Gallery started as a simple idea: a place where art could happen in every direction at once. My studio practice and gallery. Rotating exhibitions. Workshops and community gatherings. A space where artists and non-artists alike could experience what it feels like to make something — and be changed by it.

The mountain metaphor was always intentional. A base camp isn't the destination. It's the place you prepare, gather your strength, find your people, and begin the climb. Everything we do here is in service of that ascent — for artists and for the community.

It's also home to the NEW Sherpa Gallery, where member artists sell their work online with zero commission, and Basecamp to Summit, the podcast where we talk about why we create. AND I have launched a new blog called Trail Notes. One studio. One gallery. One community, always climbing."

Swamp Tracks

This exhibition is inspired by the woods, jungles, backyards and swamps in and around Metuchen and its environs that hold significance to the artists. Both grew up in town and have spent a significant amount of time photographing and exploring the natural world around them.
