Enrique Zaldivar is a Cuban painter who graduated from the Professional Academy of Fine Arts “El Alba” in Holguín, Cuba. His works are a mix of magical realism, surrealism, and illustration—works with a deep poetic sense, which address issues such as the meaning of life, freedom, religion, death, loneliness, power, and exile.

Enrique’s work centers on nature and landscapes, sometimes including the human figure within those settings. He works primarily with acrylics and drawing. His paintings use color relationships to create balance, and his brushwork tends to be loose and active, contributing to a sense of movement in the composition.

He is the author of Infinite Line and Pen and Ink Sketch Collection, which focus on drawing. These works reflect influences from comics, illustration, and graphic art, and explore visual ideas through line and composition.

Modern Musings will include abstraction impressionist pieces, largely acrylics and drawings, featuring landscapes and portraits of modern muses.
